We are really pleased to advise you that we are continuing our nationwide one-day seminar tour for
SENCO, LSC, RTLB and Leaders.
This term we are beginning with the Wellington Region and then heading across the strait to do a
complete South Island tour in terms three and four.

The development day will be led by Jenny Tebbutt - Educational Consultant and Author with more than 25 years of experience in learning differences and neurodiversity.

This will be a great opportunity to focus on raising achievement and monitoring student outcomes with effective data.
This is ideal for developing at-risk registers to track students’ information and outcomes, but it is also highly beneficial for classroom teachers.

Teachers and Whole School Development
A New Intake for our Hour of Power Teaching Sessions begins in Term 3
Would you like to be able to:
1/ Identify at-risk learners and groups with ease.
2/ Undertake screening and literacy assessments to identify needs
3/ Ensure that assessments drive the learning
4/ Implement new programmes and resources to reach persistent
underachievers.
5/ Teach effective literacy through the year level curriculum
6/ See accelerated achievement through pre- and post-testing.
7/ Differentiate teaching to meet all learner needs.
8/ Teach neurodiversity.
9/ Know the science of learning and implement best practice approaches and
monitor programmes effectively.
If you answer yes to these questions, then our individual teacher or whole
school, teacher development hour of power weekly programme is for you.
Individual teacher investment - $500 plus GST
Cost covers, sessions, resources, and recordings.
A school may register all teaching staff for the 30 one-hour PLD sessions.
3.30 - 4.30 pm over 2026/2027
Investment of $2500 plus GST.
All sessions are recorded to ensure access for those who cannot make a
session and to provide for future learning.

Teacher Aides and Whole School Development
A New Intake for our Hour of Power for Teacher Aides begins in Term 3
At-risk Learners – Neurodiversity – Structured Literacy Practice
Suitable for Primary and Secondary
This comprehensive 2-module course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to support effective literacy teaching in schools using structured literacy approaches and the ability to identify student needs and raise achievement for at-risk and neurodiverse learners through a range of skills and practical strategies.
Module 1 - At-risk Learners and Neurodiversity
Week 1 – Understanding and identifying at-risk learners
Week 2 – 32 characteristics of at-risk learners. The multimodal approach to support
Week 3 – Support philosophies / The 7 excellences / Dependence to independence / accommodations/strategies/ expectations / the role of a teacher aide/learning assistant
Week 4 - Our role in the school / preparing effectively to maximise student achievement / The high performing teacher aide
Week 5 - Dyslexia and Dyspraxia
Week 6 – ADHD
Week 7 - Maths and learning difficulties
Week 8 - The autistic spectrum
Week 9 - Gifted with learning difficulties
Week 10 - Vision and learning difficulties
Week 11 – Addressing underpinning weaknesses through literacy and numeracy.
Week 12 – Gaining credibility for your work / reassessment and next steps / group reflections / best practice.
Module 2
Know:
● What structured literacy is
● The science of learning and what research tells us
● The key principles that underpin student success
● The elements of structured literacy
● Why are the foundations so important?
Understand:
● Pre-testing, quality teaching, and post-testing
● Whole class and small group teaching using the elements.
Do:
● Implementing all the elements successfully
● Use a range of resources to teach the elements of structured literacy effectively,
improving outcomes through pre- and post-testing.
Included in the package:
● Weekly live online sessions and/or recordings
● Ongoing access to the online recordings and programme resources
● Training and programme support with Jenny Tebbutt and Team
● 30 plus hours of support and guidance.
Individual cost for 30-week programme 2026/2027 $350.00 plus GST per person.
Schools may also register an unlimited number of teacher aides/support staff -
$1500 plus GST for the entire programme.
Sessions held via Zoom 1 hour weekly on Wednesdays
